Ton Up Bike Bash

For its 16th installment, the annual East Nashville vintage motorcycle show and rally hosted by the Ton Up Motorcycle Club moves from Drifters in Five Points just down the road to The Basement East. Bikes, bikers and tunes will abound, with competition categories including pre-1984 American, British, European and Japanese, not to mention “modern classics” — that is, newer bikes designed to look like older ones. Party-time DJs David Bermudez and Jonas Stein of Sparkle City will man the wheels of steel, and organizers also promise raffle prizes, swag and classic biker films (’60s race footage and old public-safety clips) courtesy of John Lewis and accompanied by tunes from DJ Jay Milner. If you plan to enter your bike, get there in time for registration, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Now then, get ready to ogle some chrome, exhaust breath. D. PATRICK RODGERS
