Prince will never die — the legendary performer will forever be a part of our lives because musicians will forever pay tribute to his work. His catalog is far too deep and far too special to ever be forgotten, and this Prince celebration Wednesday at the Schermerhorn will be especially stunning. The Nashville Symphony is partnering with Marshall Charloff, frontman of The Purple Xperience, a Prince cover band from (appropriately) Minneapolis. If you haven’t heard them, check out some videos on YouTube to see just how talented Charloff is — he will absolutely do The Artist justice when he and the symphony deliver a hit-filled set list — expect “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Purple Rain,” “Little Red Corvette,” “1999,” “When Doves Cry” and more. (And yeah, Charloff can nail those high notes.) MEGAN SELING
