Reba

It’s hard to believe Reba McEntire, a 40-year veteran of the music business, is playing her first headlining performance at the Mother Church on Wednesday. After tickets sold out in less than an hour, Reba added a second show for folks who weren’t able to get in on the action. As of press time, there were still tickets available for the daytime show. She has a new album, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope, out this week — it’s a record that she’s called “a message from God” sent in the wake of a tough divorce. I’d argue that Reba’s entire catalog — including hits “Fancy” and “Is There Life Out There,” not to mention the theme song from her sitcom Reba — is also passed down from the heavens. Tickets to the show (available online only) include a free copy of the new album. AMANDA HAGGARD
