Pam Tillis has lived country music her entire life: Her father is revered country songwriter Mel Tillis; she made her Grand Ole Opry debut at age 8; and she’s had a formidable career of her own since releasing her debut album Above and Beyond the Doll of Cutey in 1983. She’ll bring that pedigree (and hopefully lots of stories, too) to City Winery on Saturday. Classic Tillis songs like “Don’t Tell Me What to Do” and “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)” will likely make it into the mix, as could newer cuts from albums like 2007’s RhineStoned and 2013’s collaborative album with Lorrie Morgan Dos Divas. Whatever she plays, it sure as hell won’t be a boring night, so settle in early and warm up with a glass of wine or two. BRITTNEY McKENNA
