You could say Craigslist is the Internet version of Dodge City back in the day—a lawless place where every man and woman can fill their lewdest desires. Or maybe just banjo lessons and a missed connection.
But Nashville Police just made this virtual red light district a little more forbidding. Detectives charged four suspected prostitutes caught in a sting in a downtown hotel. Because the hotel works with the police, they declined to disclose where the bust took place.
Undercover officers contacted the allegedly soiled doves through Craigslist, where they agreed to the illicit and time-honored quid pro quo—cash for a good time. It's a brave new world, people. Who needs stilettos and windy street corners when you can buy online?
