On Saturday, hundreds of Tennesseans gathered in downtown Nashville for the People’s March hosted by Women’s March Tennessee. Organizers of the event, which took place just two days before the second inauguration of Donald Trump, planned the march to “protect progress, resist harmful policies, and fight for justice and equality for women and all those who call this country home.”

Once crowds had gathered at the steps of the Metro Courthouse, the event featured speakers including Democratic state Reps. John Ray Clemmons and Gloria Johnson, as well as performances from artists including Kyshona Armstrong and more.

Scene photographer Hamilton Matthew Masters was there to capture the events. See his photos above.
