Bloodworth star Kris Kristofferson, Road to Nowhere director Monte Hellman and star Shannyn Sossamon, Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain composer Gustavo Santaolalla, country singer Chely Wright, and Terri director Azazel Jacobs have been announced as confirmed guests at this year's 42nd annual Nashville Film Festival. The announcement comes just a day after NaFF single-screening tickets went on sale to the general public.

Kristofferson will appear at the 8 p.m. Friday screening of Bloodworth, Watkins alum Shane Dax Taylor's William Gay adaptation co-starring Val Kilmer, Hilary Duff and Dwight Yoakam. He'll be on hand to accept the festival's 2011 Career Achievement Award. Hellman, the esteemed director of Two-Lane Blacktop, The Shooting and Cockfighter, will receive the 2011 Coleman Sinking Creek Award for significant contributions to independent film. He, Sossamon and screenwriter/Variety executive editor Steven Gaydos will attend the Saturday night screening of Road to Nowhere, Hellman's first new feature in two decades and one of the fest's most anticipated films.

A full schedule and details can be found at the NaFF's website, along with ticket information. We recommend getting tickets now for the afore-mentioned films. The Scene will have full festival coverage starting next week here at Pith and in print, but for now — looking over what may be the NaFF's strongest lineup ever — we can tell you with confidence that between Tuesday, After Christmas; Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives; The Arbor; Buck; Better Than Something: Jay Reatard; Kinyarwanda; The Sons of Tennessee Williams; Jess + Moss; The Interrupters; Weekend; 13 Assassins; Bellflower; The Catechism Cataclysm; and Le Quattro Volte, there is something here for everyone.
