The Southeastern Film Critics Association named David Fincher's The Social Network the best movie of 2010, adding to a rash of year-end honors for the Aaron Sorkin-scripted Facebook drama (though not from the New York Times Magazine, in a pretty interesting takedown). Fincher and Sorkin won prizes for direction and adapted screenplay, respectively, while Colin Firth won acting honors for The King's Speech and Natalie Portman was named best actress for Black Swan (which opens Friday).
Winter's Bone, Debra Granik's impressive indie that emerged as a sleeper hit, won the Gene Wyatt Award for the film that best evokes the spirit of the South, named for the late Tennessean critic. (Trash Humpers was robbed.) Below: the full list of winners.
