Nashville’s long-running free concert series Musicians Corner took a break from in-person events last summer due to — well, you know. I don’t have to say it. In May, Musicians Corner announced a return to Centennial Park for a three-day festival from June 11 through 13.
Musicians Corner’s comeback weekend will include performances from triumphant folk-soul artist Allison Russell, ace blues singer and poet (and sometime Scene contributor) Adia Victoria, dope R&B quartet The New Respects, soulful singer-songwriter Jason Eskridge, rock outfits Vacation Manor and Smooth Hound Smith, pop songsmith Jillette Johnson and others.
Hours for the weekend fest will be 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Naturally, there will be vendors, adult beverages, food trucks, kids’ activities and more. Though the lineup has yet to be announced, Musicians Corner’s September Sundown is coming back, too: It’ll take place every Thursday and Friday in September, along with a three-day event toward the end of the month in conjunction with AmericanaFest.
