Treekeeper x Tastetester, "6AMPS2"
Treekeeper has been a DJ-ing staple at a variety of venues this year. Yesterday he dropped his first new material in several months, a Playstation 2 tribute song aptly titled “6AMPS2.” It’s a collaboration with Atlanta’s Tastetester. Sony may have just released the Playstation 4, but “6AMPS2” keeps it nostalgic. The track features console start-up sounds and early Playstation commercial snippets, all over R&B melodies and Jersey Club tempo.
Check out the track below. It’s also available for free download via Soundcloud. More action after the jump.
S.T.A.N., "Nightmare"
S.T.A.N. recently dropped the third track in a string of singles from his upcoming full-length, Nightmare Next Door. “Nightmare,” produced by Fred the Tech, is a dark and lyrically conscious track. The song finds S.T.A.N. doing what he does best, waxing poetic on an array of insightful themes. If this new trio of songs is any indication of what to expect from Nightmare Next Door, then the follow-up to 2012’s criminally underrated Here You Go should find the rapper picking up right where he last left off.
