Tennessee State Rock Song!

Make sure it has lots of quarter notes.

As you've probably already heard, the state legislature of Oklahoma has chosen The Flaming Lips' "Do You Realize" as the state rock song. (Yeah, I read it on P4K.)

And to think, our own legislature is considering guns on playgrounds—but not at the capitol, of course—when they could be voting on what awesome rock song best represents our state. (Do You Realize we already have a bicentennial rap?)

For your consideration, here are a few Cream suggestions, in a gray box:

Superdrag, "Sucked Out"
Silver Jews, "Tennessee"

Tina Turner, "Nutbush City Limits"

Lone Official, "Sleepy Time Down South"

Apollo Up!, "Tennessee for Victory"

The Carter Administration, "Kentucky Is Ohio's Alabama"

Big Star, "In the Street"

The Feminine Complex, "I've Been Workin' on You"

As always, leave yours in the comments.

Of course, we could just go with what Idolator picked.
