Just in case news of a Navy Seal taking Osama bin Laden out with a head-shot hasn’t put a little spring in your step on this dreary Middle Tennessee Monday, below are a couple of locally flavored communiqués that might flip your frowns.

* Radius clauses be damned, as the CMA Festival announced today that current queen of the local superstars, Taylor Swift, will precede her upcoming two-night stand at Bridgestone Arena (set for Sept. 16 & 17) by closing out their annual carnival of contemporary country at LP Field on June 12. Swift will join Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Reba McEntire and The Zac Brown Band — along with, like, every other living country star — on the four-day festival’s marquee. The CMA Fest hits various venues downtown June 9-12. Yeah, that is (still) the same weekend as Bonnaroo. And yeah, that is fucking stupid. Get tickets and more deets here.
