Next time someone asks you to meet them for a meal at 108 Grille, double-check your numbers. Do they mean 1808 Grille, the sleek new rustic-modern restaurant in the Hutton Hotel in midtown Nashville? Or Prime 108, the august dining room in the recently renovated Union Station Hotel? Or do they mean 108 Grille, the new resident in the old Franklin jail?

The last of these crazy 8's, which opened this winter in the former location of Monell's, is billed as an easygoing hangout for locals, where chef Jody Di Sabantonio cooks up everything from wings and burgers to steak and biscuits. The restaurant also features 28 degrees—a lounge named for the perfect temperature to serve a martini—and an upstairs bar. The building is dotted with big screen TVs, leather chairs and fireplaces, and there's a large back deck with views of Bicentennial Park.

Located at 108 Bridge Street (phone: 790-1108), 108 Grille opens for dinner at 4 p.m. during the week and serves lunch and dinner on the weekend.

As always, if you get there before we do, please report back on Bites.
