Fans of riff-rife stoner rock of course know that Palm Desert, Calif.'s monsters of heavy, Queens of the Stone Age, recently released their sixth album, ... Like Clockwork. And naturally,
ass-stompingfrontman Josh Homme (aka Ginger Elvis) and his band are embarking on an international tour in support of Clockwork that will take them to Switzerland, Germany, Mexico and even — here's the part you're skimming this post to find — Nashville's very own Municipal Auditorium.

The Queens last rolled through Nashville in March of 2011, when they played the Ryman in support of their Queens of the Stone Age reissue — and local venue-capacity sponges (or a couple of Google searches) can tell you that Municipal holds nearly four times as many folks as the Ryman. Clockwork — which was released last week and features cameos from Trent Reznor (also playing Nashville in October) and Elton John, among others — has been met with universal acclaim.
