Party & Bullsh*t: This Week in Nashville Hip-Hop [Bonnaroo, Chancellor Warhol, OpenMic, Spoken Nerd, Starlito]

Well hot damn, Chancellor Warhol just ripped Bonnaroo a new one. Seriously, like a real big huge one. The Road to Bonnaroo winner had one of the most active and excited crowds I've seen in the noon slot in the four years I've been covering this event. Warhol had The On Tap Lounge audience bouncing, pumping fists and singing along, partying like it was midnight rather than midday. I gotta say, I was seriously impressed with his ability to control the crowd and the crowd's willingness to just throw the fuck down. He played a bunch of songs from the forthcoming album The Silver Factory, and they slayed — Warhol's band has really become a badass live outfit, and I'm damn proud to have witnessed them kickin' Roo's ass. Definitely the best way to kick off Friday. Warhol has a new video over on his website, make sure to check it.
