Snooper at Eastside Bowl, 10/3/2025

Snooper’s origins as a bedroom project are a distant memory. The amount of time the performance-art-oriented Nashville punks spend on the road is truly astonishing, and naming their latest album Worldwide (released in October) is one of the most apropos title picks I can think of. But this week is a rare occasion when they’re not on tour, and they’ve got a special outdoor gig on the books for all the heads who aren’t headed down to Bonnaroo.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, and it’s in the parking lot of United Record Pressing on Allied Drive (off Nolensville Pike close to the Nashville Zoo). There’s no cover, there’s free beer (!) and DJs from the Goner Records crew.

That sounds like a winner all on its own, but there’s more. Two special mystery guests are being advertised, but their identities will not be revealed until the day of the show. You get one hint, and it’s a two-for-one: One of the bands is from California and the other is from Australia. (Having been told on the DL who the guests are, I feel confident in sharing two more tiny hints: They are almost certainly bands you’ll know, but they are not Red Hot Chili Peppers or Tame Impala. I know, I’m disappointed too. C’est la vie.)

Do some stretches, locate your ear protection and mark your calendar. Keep an eye on Snooper’s and United Record Pressing’s Instagram profiles for updates.
