After celebrating the release of her Jack White-produced debut solo record Forever and Then Some at Third Man Records earlier this week, Lillie Mae Rische was out west last night for another debut: Her first time center stage on late night television, with a performance on Conan. She'd been there before, backing up White, but this time she got the mic and, later, a bow from the host himself.
Rische and backing band rolled through the twanging-and-swanging "Over the Hill and Through the Woods" on air — see it above, and check out the music video for that tune, directed by Elise Tyler. Lillie Mae & Co. served up a stripped-down version of another song from the album, "To Go Wrong," in a web exclusive which you can check out below.
Forever and Then Some is in stock at your favorite record shop today, and Lillie Mae's interview with the Scene is on stands now.
