JEFF the Brotherhood at The End, 6/28/2018
Recently, we've been hearing the new and different fruits of JEFF the Brotherhood's labors. "Parachute" and "Camel Swallowed Whole" from the Bogus Bros' forthcoming LP Magick Songs (preorder that platter here) give us some hints as to the directions they're exploring with their recently added official members, Jack Lawrence and Kunal Prakash, and collaborators like Daddy Issues' Jenna Moynihan and Bully's Reece Lazarus.
If you've been wondering what those tunes will sound like in person (and didn't get to hear any of them at Nameless Fest IV back in June), mark your calendars. JEFF is set to play The Basement East on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Openers haven't been announced yet, but they tend to set up a pretty rad bill. Tickets are $12 in advance and go on sale on Friday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m. right here.
And while you wait for that, check out a clip Stephen "TompDogg" Thompson filmed during JtB's Nameless Fest set at The End. (Astute observers will note that Lawrence performs here, though Prakash does not.) Below, watch Alicia Bognanno from Bully sing "Roachin," as she did on the band's 2016 LP Zone, and be sure to check out TompDogg's YouTube channel for lots more local concert footage.
JEFF closed down Nameless Fest IV with a set of mostly newish jams, including Roachin w Alicia Bognanno from Bully, who sang it on their album ZONE.
