One Direction star Harry Styles is now several years into a post-boy-band career, and he seems to be maintaining control of his path and excelling as he does so. His 2017 self-titled solo debut was well-received commercially (a bit of an understatement — it went platinum in the U.S.) and critically. That's also true of the tour, which hit intimate venues like the Ryman in 2017 and moved up to arenas (including Bridgestone Arena) when it came back around with opener Kacey Musgraves in 2018.
Fans eager for the follow-up got great news this year with the announcement of Styles' forthcoming second LP Fine Line. The album is out Dec. 13, and only one show had been announced in support: a special one-night-only appearance at The Forum in Los Angeles on release day.
Today, word comes that Styles is planning to spend large portions of next year on a full-scale international arena tour, called Love on Tour 2020. His support act in the U.S. is the great Jenny Lewis, and they'll stop in at Bridgestone on July 28. Ticket prices haven't been announced, but they go on sale Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. right here.
You'll be able to catch Styles pulling double-duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend. (His biggest screen role yet is in Christopher Nolan's superb 2017 film Dunkirk.) But until then, check out the music video for the Fine Line single "Lights Up" below.
