Any time that you could use a little motivation, topflight soul outfit Alanna Royale is your friend. On this downright chilly morning after Halloween, it's entirely possible you might be suffering some after-effects of overindulgence in candy and/or potent potables. We're very pleased to premiere an unusual live-performance vid from the group that will hopefully keep you grooving through the day and into the weekend.
Above, see the band rip on "Givin' It All Away," the closing track from their outstanding 2018 EP So Bad You Can Taste It. One big difference you'll notice from a typical gig featuring Alanna Quinn Broadus & Co. is that they're performing on a WeGo bus. If you've spent some time around downtown, you'll probably recognize the spot: a bus stop on the riverfront near Acme Feed & Seed. The vid was produced by Acme's online broadcast arm Acme Radio Live as part of an ongoing series they're doing with WeGo and Do615 to help put a spotlight on public transit. Some other Bus Stop Sessions this year have featured Susto, Erin Rae, Luthi and Camm.
