is the solo debut effort from Swedish artist Karin Dreijer Andersson, who happens to be one-half of brother-sister indie-electronica duo

. She recently won "Best Dance Artist" at the P3 Gold Awards in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the video above is of her acceptance speech.

As far as background info goes, that's all I've got for you. Except to conjecture that, aesthetically, Fever Ray is something of a European Lady Gaga. And, as with most things European v. most things American (especially in the dance-pop realm, anyway), Fever Ray is a bit more compelling and significantly weirder.
