Back in October, we saw lascivious, grimy, funky local electro-pop duo Cherub being set ablaze in
their music video for " Well, looks like they survived it one way or another, as news comes to us today that the pair will release a new EP by the name of Leftovers — no relation— this month. The five-song Leftovers — part three in a three-course meal, preceded by the Antipasto EP and Year of the Caprese LP — will begin streaming exclusively via Spotify on Dec. 9, and it'll be available for purchase via digital retailers beginning Dec. 15.
But you can already get a sneak preview of C-rub's new jams right now. Earlier today, the group debuted Leftovers' "Best Friend's T-Shirt/Saudia" via VICE's electronic music and culture channel, Thump. Stream all seven-and-a-half minutes of that crunchy, synthy, thumping noise below.
Cherub will play Nashville's Marathon Music Works on Feb. 7 as part of their Strip to This Tour — gross name! Tickets are available here.
