Predictably, seeing as how this year the ‘Roo boasts arguably its best lineup ever, taking in an entire buffet of musical greatness is, unfortunately, a physical impossibility. The festival offers up no shortage of conflicting bookings and evenly matched showdowns, leaving festival-goers with some agonizing choices to make. Wu-Tang Clan vs. ZZ Top? Tame Impala vs. The National? Divine Fits vs. David Byrne and St. Vincent? Jim James vs. Wilco vs. The xx?? R. Kelly vs. Billy Idol vs. “Weird Al” Yankovic? Bjork vs. Beach House vs. Dwight Yoakam vs. Cat Power?! Christ!
