Some of you may be too young to remember this, so you might have to ask that weird balding dude you know who wears fingerless gloves and has a camo iPod cover if you want to know more. Back in "the day," Anthrax did a song called "I'm the Man," in which they got their heavy metal chocolate in rap's lyrical peanut butter (or maybe it was the other way around), and kinda sorta invented "rap metal," if you want to call that a genre. The song contains these lyrics: "They say rap and metal will never mix, but we say they can suck our"—you get the idea. Anthrax also collaborated with Public Enemy on a thrashin' version of PE's "Bring the Noise." The noise was brought, and a lot of terrible bands were formed—and continue to be formed—as a result.
Fast forward to 2008. Nashville asymmetrical outfit Framing Hanley have given the "rock" treatment to Lil' Wayne's incredibly subtle hit song "Lollipop," and filmed a video for it featuring all white people. If you can actually get through the stupid high school shit at the beginning of this video and get to the song itself, you'll probably be sorry.
Then there's this Nashville dude playing metal riffs to a Young Buck song that you—and apparently he—can barely hear.
