SAINT THOMAS MIDTOWN HOSPITAL HOSTS “MOCKTAILS + MIDWIVES” PANEL

What: Expectant parents and other interested Middle Tennesseans are invited to attend “Mocktails + Midwives,” a free event at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital that combines the educational aspects of a panel discussion with the fun of mocktails and mingling. Held on October 6th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., this unique seminar is a co-creation of the midwifery groups who deliver at Saint Thomas Midtown, Connectus Health Midwifery, and WOMEN Obstetricians & Gynecology.

Why: “Mocktails + Midwives” is taking place in conjunction with two important events—one local and one national. September 29th through October 5th is National Midwifery Week. Additionally, this week marks the second anniversary of the opening of The Birthing Center at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital. A seasoned panel of OBGYNs, midwives, and specialized nurses will answer questions and dispel myths about midwifery and unmedicated delivery. Parents will learn how they can personalize their delivery experience to minimize stress and maximize comfort.

Who: This event is designed to inform and empower families who want to explore birthing options. Anyone interested is welcome to attend and enjoy a mocktail.

 When: Sunday, October 6th from 2 p.m. –  4 p.m.

Where: Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital – Gladys Stringfield Owen Education Center (2000 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37203)
