While Lipscomb University probably wouldn’t have had Bob Dylan playing in the campus square at the height of his popularity (probably something to do with that fellow Johnny, and his pharmaceutical basement antics), the times, they are a-changin’. Lipscomb professor Lee Camp continues his theological variety show Tokens with this staging aimed at taking a look at faith and America in the context of The Voice of a Generation. While Zimmy won’t be there himself to play one of his beloved gospel covers, Pulitzer-winning U.S. Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith and National Medal of the Arts-winning author Tobias Wolff will help Camp connect Dylan’s catalog to the larger tapestry of Christianity and the country. Christian artist Matthew Perryman Jones and folk rockers The New Respects will also roll along. 7:30 p.m. at Collins Alumni Auditorium, 1 University Park Drive CORY WOODROOF
