Woven Theatre continues its season on Friday with the world premiere of local playwright A.D. Timm’s Tall Tales. Set in rural Alabama — a place “equally haunted by Christ and ghosts” — this queer horror play explores tough themes of otherness and alienation. The action centers on a young gay man named Noah who returns to his hometown for the first time in years, only to discover that there’s a murderer on the loose. William Kyle Odum directs a terrific cast, including Jack Tanzi, Fiona Soul, Josh Inocalla, Cody Hartman, Amos Glass and Sam Kell. 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4-20 at The Barbershop Theater, 4003 Indiana Ave. AMY STUMPFL
