There’s this really ridiculous scene in 1994’s Interview With the Vampire in which Tom Cruise’s vampire Lestat has been killed by Claudia, the child vampire played by a young Kirsten Dunst. Claudia tricks Lestat into drinking old blood — apparently something that causes a vampire to get very, very sick in Anne Rice’s novel of the same name, but kills Lestat for a short period of time in the film. (“You let me drink DEAD BLOOD?!”) Claudia and Brad Pitt’s Louis dump Lestat’s body in the bottom of the river, and when he comes back, his typically beautiful skin is mottled as he plays piano behind a white lacy curtain. How did he rise from the dead? He says: “On a diet of the blood of snakes, toads and all the putrid life of the Mississippi — slowly, Lestat became something like himself again.” It’s the beginning of the end for Claudia and Louis, and an extremely cheesy and weird scene — even for a vampire film. Here’s your chance to see that — and the rest of this iconic entry in the ’90s cinema canon — on the big screen. 7 p.m. at Full Moon Cineplex, 3445 Lebanon Pike AMANDA HAGGARD
