The Hume-Fogg Silver Jazz Band, recognized as one of the top high school jazz ensembles in the southeast, will be performing alongside legendary jazz artist Denis DiBlasio at their fall concert this November 18th. The concert featuring Mr. DiBlasio will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will take place at Hume-Fogg Academic High School in the auditorium. The school is located at 700 Broadway, Nashville, Tennessee, area code 37203. General admission tickets will be sold at the door for $5 with tickets for special seating costing $10.Denis DiBlasio is a world-renown jazz writer, composer, conductor, and performer. Asa baritone saxophonist and flutist, he has served as Musical Director and Performer for Maynard Ferguson’s Big Band. Currently, he is the Director of the Jazz Department and conducts the Jazz Lab Band at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. Come out and experience the talented young jazz artists from Hume-Fogg High School perform with one of jazz’s all-time greats this November 18th.
