Housequake: Apollo LTD w/Jeffrey James & Gatsby

If you’re curious about Nashville’s bubbling contemporary pop scene but don’t have the time to take a deep dive (as Lance Conzett did for his 2018 Scene cover story), you’ll do well to keep your eyes peeled for Tyler Martinez’s periodic Housequake concert series. Headlining Wednesday’s show is Apollo LTD, the duo of Jordan Phillips and Adam Stark, who released their danceable and anthemic full-length Out of Body in June. Jeffrey James, a dance-pop singer and songwriter with a rich and immensely versatile voice (someone please schedule a falsetto-off between James and R.LUM.R) also performs, ahead of his forthcoming U.K.-recorded EP East London.
