A serious contender for the title of Nashville’s Hottest Grandmother, Beverly Chowning has turned her love for vintage couture into a new business venture called, oddly enough, Vintage Couture (2302 12th Ave. S.). The business began with her renowned Belmont Boulevard yard sales, which were a frequent success both for the quality of her goods, and...well...the quality of her goods. Many men have been spotted mindlessly thumbing through the clothing racks while keeping their eyes firmly planted on Beverly. These men, not wanting to be busted ogling the shapely, lovely and intriguing proprietor, have to buy things they don’t need or that don’t fit them just to avoid embarrassment-a savvy marketing ploy. Of course, we don’t speak from personal experience. Beverly looks barely old enough to be the mother of 2-year-old Luke, let alone the grandmother.
