There are two types of karaoke joints in Nashville: the kind full of aspiring singers trying to one-up each other via Whitney Houston belt-a-thons, and the kind where all that matters is picking a good song and making a fool of yourself. Fran’s Eastside is planted firmly in the latter camp. With $11 domestic buckets and decades’ worth of cigarette tar in the walls, there’s a good chance you’ll wake up hungover the next morning, but there’s also a good chance you’ll get to hear bartender Katrina performing one of her … saltier selections.
