Fuzz Fest II Feat. Emma Swift, Justin and the Cosmics, Country Westerns & More

For its second annual run, the party organized by Original Fuzz (a local manufacturer whose guitar and camera straps and related accessories are handmade at their facility near The Fairgrounds Nashville) heads to Soft Junk’s spot on Gallatin Avenue in East Nashville. Throughout the afternoon, there’ll be food, drink, artwork and goods for sale, plus a top-shelf array of live music. The bill runs the gamut from warm-voiced troubadour Emma Swift to Justin and the Cosmics (led by gregarious and energetic rock crooner Justin Collins) to the nimble, sax-blasted rock of Country Westerns (fronted by Joey Plunket, co-founder of East Side neighborhood bar Duke’s) — and beyond. Also look for Telefones, Nick Woods, Stefie James, Jonathan Phillips (of Faux Ferocious, whom I last saw solo as Jonny Angel Boy, a delightful electronic experiment) and even a mariachi group, Mariachi Los Potrillos.
