Rooftop bar Rare Bird will open at downtown-based boutique hotel Noelle on Thursday, March 29.
According to a release, Rare Bird will offer views of various downtown buildings, the Cumberland River, Nissan Stadium and the Shelby Street Bridge. Overlooking historic Printers Alley, the space was designed by Nashville-based D|AAD, led by Nick Dryden. It features two limestone fireplaces supplementing the bar area.
D|AAD worked with local Nashville makers, with the space to feature leather and steel bar stools by Emil Erwin, a zinc-top bar by Tate Ornamental, and upholstery by Electra Eggleston Fine Textiles. The menu will include seasonal cocktails, draft beer, wine and two frozen machines featuring frosé and friesling. A small food menu will also be offered featuring raw oysters, crudo, olives and hummus.
Rare Bird will be open Mondays through Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to midnight, Thursdays to Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Sundays from 1 to 10 p.m. Will Friedrichs is general manager for all food/beverage spots at Noelle. In addition to Rare Bird, these include Makeready Libations & Liberation and Drug Store Coffee. Noelle is located at 200 Fourth Ave. N.
