It’s hard to believe that distiller Lee Kennedy has been producing great bourbon, Tennessee whiskey and rye for 10 years now, but that is indeed the case. In the intervening time, he’s added a tasting room in downtown Franklin and an impending new production/tasting facility, which will come soon to Nashville Yards.

To celebrate a decade of triumphs, Leiper’s Fork Distillery is inviting their fans to their headquarters at 3381 Southall Road in Franklin from 6 until 10 p.m. this Saturday night, Oct. 17, for a special evening of live music, local food trucks and the release of a new special product.

The commemorative bottle will be a 10-year blended whiskey, made from a blend of Leiper’s Fork’s three brown liquor products, bourbon, rye and Tennessee whiskey. They’re calling it “A Decade of Distilling: Grain to Glass,” commemorating Leiper’s Fork’s commitment to traditional, grain-to-glass whiskey-making in Middle Tennessee. No reservation is required — just show up ready to celebrate!

About six months after opening, Olala Cafe, located at 818 Palmer Place near Cannery Hall and Cummins Station, is adding an evening meal service. Founded by father-son duo Arnaud and Mathis Combaluzier, the charming cafe has earned a strong following for their authentic French pastries, crepes and coffee, and now Olala is ready to offer added hours from 5 until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

In addition to a menu of French wines, the Combaluziers will serve cheeses, charcuterie, hors d'oeuvres and desserts to make a full evening of it.

“Since opening this summer, we have seen an outpouring of support, and guests have come to know us for our signature croissants,” says chef Mathis Combaluzier in the official announcement. “It's always been our intention to expand the offerings with evening service to showcase fantastic French wines, cheese, charcuterie and more. We are excited to give our guests a new experience at Olala and showcase even more of the decadent flavors that France is known for.”
