2214 Elliston Place
The former Midtown home of IHOP is slated for an additional outpost of local Asian cuisine establishment Koi Sushi and Thai. The address of the future restaurant is 2214 Elliston Place, near the Rock Block.
According to a permit, Nashville-based DWC Construction Co. is handling the build-out of the space, with a source telling the Scene the job should be completed in April. The source said the project involves using the existing kitchen and updating the dining area. Also, a beverage bar and a sushi bar will be added.
Of note, clothing retail chain Buffalo Exchange is prepping to move to an adjacent space in the mixed-use building (read more here).
Koi Sushi and Thai currently has locations at 923 Main St. in East Nashville and in Franklin. It bills itself as a family-owned business, with the East Side Koi seemingly having opened in 2014.
Davidson County is home to five IHOPs. The Elliston Place IHOP closed when the pandemic hit. As of 2020, the company had more than 1,800 locations in the Americas and the Middle East, most of them franchised.
