Frankies Annual Block Party has already become a tradition since the Brooklyn-based brand opened in East Nashville at 925 Cherokee Ave. in late 2023. Frankies is more than just a restaurant; it’s become an entire culinary campus including their flagship restaurant Frankies 925 Spuntino, a craft slice shop called The Pizzeria, a specialty market named The Bottega plus a full catering program.

So they’ve got plenty of room and variety to throw their own block party, and this year’s edition will take place on Sunday, May 18. From noon until 5 p.m., they will be celebrating their new hometown under the party theme of “Ode to Nashville.” Food stations will be scattered around the restaurants selling classic Nashville fare like Sperry’s-inspired prime rib, hot chicken, pizza, barbecue, soft serve and sweet treats. Beverage options will also be available for purchase around the campus, including a wine bar on the patio, spritzes and cold beer. The family-friendly event is free to attend, and $2 tickets will be sold to purchase food and beverage at the stations.
Leading up to the big Sunday, The Pizzeria at Frankies has invited some of their friends and neighbors to collaborate on specialty pizzas for dine-in or carry-out on the three Sundays before the Block Party. A portion of the special pie sales will go to benefit Pathways Kitchen, a local nonprofit organization that reaches out to youth who have been impacted by the justice system and provides training, work opportunities and individualized support to help them chart their own path forward.

The lineup of guest pizzaiolos is pretty darned impressive. This Sunday, April 27, Bagelshop is bringing their vibe to Frankies with a Taylor Ham Slam, their version of a bagel-style crust dusted with "everything" seasoning, topped with garlic cream sauce, sliced pork roll, mozzarella, caramelized onions and finished with a hot honey drizzle, fresh basil and Calabrian chilis.Â
Love means sharing a slice between drinks and dinner on the East Side
On Sunday, May 4, take a voyage on the S.S. Gai with their “Thai Gai Pie,” a nod to the restaurant’s epic Thai chicken in pizza form with a base of spicy peanut sauce, topped in mozzarella and Thai chicken, and finished with bean sprouts, cilantro, peanut, onion, spring peas and mint served with a spicy chili oil. Sounds tom yummy to me!
Finally, Curry Boys BBQ gets in on the act on Sunday, May 11. You can treat your mom on her special day with a dine-in or carry-out “Remember the Thai-Tans” pizza, featuring a green curry and white sauce base topped with mushrooms, Curry Boys smoked pork sausage crumble, mozzarella, fried Thai basil and an optional house chili crunch drizzle. (But really, it that drizzle really even optional?)
Sundays just got a lot more delicious.
