Rob Mondavi Jr.
Perhaps no name resonates more in the world of Napa Valley than Mondavi. The family has been involved in the wine business since Cesare Mondavi emigrated from Italy to America in the early 20th century, and Robert Mondavi was a leading figure in the industry for more than 60 years. His younger brother Peter was no slouch either, plying his trade at Charles Krug winery for decades.
Rob Mondavi Jr. represents the fourth generation of the Napa winemaking family, working with Folio Fine Wine Partners importing wines from around the globe. On Monday, April 29, Mondavi will bring some of his portfolio to town for a special wine dinner at Pemrose (formerly Fin & Pearl), Matt Bolus’ new shrine to seafood. There will be four courses from Bolus, Mondavi will provide wine pairings, and Chris Pierce will entertain patrons with his soulful brand of original music.
The reception begins at 6 p.m., and dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. The meal is $85 per person plus tax and gratuity, and wine pairings are included in that price. For more information or to make a reservation, call 615-577-6688. The menu is below.
