With all the new arrivals in Germantown in the last couple of years—DrinkHaus, Zackie's, City House, Cupcake Collection, Cocoa Tree and Lazzaroli Pasta among them—it's easy to overlook Germantown Cafe. Chris Lowry and Jay Luther's 5-year-old restaurant was much doted on until all the babies started showing up in the neighborhood. But just because the new arrivals are getting all the media love doesn't mean that Germantown Cafe isn't maturing beautifully. In fact, a recent lunch visit found the restaurant with a view to be buzzing with business and living up to its early promise.
