When you think of Maine, I’m betting you think either of Murder, She Wrote or Stephen King novels, but you should add at least one more point of reference: Crunk Witch. The duo, aka Brandon Miles and Hannah Colleen, makes aggressive electronic pop influenced by role-playing games and David Bowie. Neither will blow you away with their singing, but their rambunctious enthusiasm more than makes up for it. They roll into town Tuesday night with a heap of local support. Moodsmith is Matthew Noth’s piano-centric smooth R&B-leaning songwriting project, Regdar and the Fighters make miniature pop operas inspired by nerd-happy pop culture items, and The Swanies offer a weird mix of punk and bombastic pop, landing somewhere between The Sweet and Dead Milkmen.
