The Tennessee Craft Fair is still going strong after 55 years. That means the first iteration was way back in 1971 — the same year The Doors released L.A. Woman and All in the Family debuted on CBS. But longevity isn’t its only accomplishment. The annual event has consistently brought in top vendors from across Tennessee, as well as the seven states that border it. The weekend-long marketplace takes over Centennial Park, giving locals and tourists a chance to buy a wide array of crafts, from jewelry and ceramics to photography, fiber, glass and mixed-media works. And did we mention the children’s activity tent and food vendors? For more details, visit tennesseecraft.org.

May 1-3 at Centennial Park
