We’re officially in Halloween season, which means we’ll be getting a lot of scary movies playing all over the city. The Belcourt’s monthlong Shocktober series is officially underway, complete with the already-sold-out 12 Hours of Terror movie marathon nestled in the middle, while Full Moon Cineplex has a full schedule of classic chillers lined up. This weekend, macabre-movie lovers can head over to Regal Green Hills for the third annual Nashville Horror Film Festival, where they’ll screen the latest wave of independent horror features (shown on Sunday) and shorts (shown on Saturday). The short we’re looking forward to the most is “Manifested,” a horror-comedy short starring Good Mythical Morning regular (and Nashville native) Emily Fleming. Attendees will get the opportunity to shop with local vendors on Saturday, as well as participate in a costume contest with multiple categories and trophies.
