Queer activist, pop star and social media personality Chrissy Chlapecka is coming to Nashville for her Girl on the Moon Tour — expect a night filled with pop, pride, glitter and hot-pink everything. Chlapecka came onto the scene by posting TikTok videos in 2019, gaining a massive following by becoming the face of “BimboTok,” which transformed the derogatory “bimbo” stereotype as people started to reclaim the word. Chrissy’s music is all about inclusivity, body positivity, LGBTQ rights and hyper-femininity. Some of her best-known songs (and some of my favorites) are “BRAT,” “Aria” and “Andromeda,” and they’re all likely to be on Thursday’s set list. The upbeat sound and flirty lyrics will make anyone get up and dance. Drag queens are a big influence in Chrissy’s look and sound, as she wears glamorous wigs and bold makeup and has a captivating stage presence. Witnessing Chlapecka’s energy is a perfect way to celebrate Pride Month.
