Join Rocketown and their founder, Michael W. Smith, for a night full of food and laughter with comedian Ryan Hamilton at Comedy for a Cause annual dinner and auction. Ryan is named one of Rolling Stone’s Five Comics to Watch with standout appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan, The Late Late Show, Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and Showtime. He’s establishing himself as one of the country’s favorite stand-ups, and is often lauded for being a clean comedian, although his audiences span a broad spectrum. Growing up in Idaho and making his home in New York City, he’s far from his small-town roots, but the contrast suits him. He’s currently headlining comedy clubs across the country, building a following of enthusiastic and diehard fans.
Comedy for a Cause is a premier event that celebrates Rocketown’s mission to offer hope to the next generation through Christ’s love. A night of laughter, dinner and inspiring stories will take place during a silent auction.
This is the time of year when we let loose and express our gratitude for every youth who engages with staff and volunteers through programs and activities at Rocketown. Whether through building trust at the skatepark, counseling by adult mentors, “tea talks” at the coffee bar, support in after school enrichment programs or encouragement in creative arts programs, your involvement helps Nashville youth reach their God-given fullest potential.
