Daydream Records

Daydream is a relatively new addition to Nashville’s indie record retail landscape, but the modest East Nashville store quickly made a name for itself with its impressively curated selection of used media, primarily vinyl and cassettes.

The Great Escape

Dating back to the now-shuttered original Midtown shop opened in 1977, The Great Escape’s three area locations (Charlotte Pike, Madison and Murfreesboro) serve as Nashville’s old-school used media and collectibles outlet, offering records, comics and much more.

Grimey’s New and Preloved Music

Since namesake and co-owner Mike Grimes launched it in 1999, Grimey’s has grown into the flagship of Nashville’s fleet of mom-and-pop record shops, offering a substantial array of used and new vinyl and CDs and hosting events for myriad local and touring artists alike.

Phonoluxe

Phonoluxe has offered used media on Nolensville Pike since 1987 and continues to bring out newly acquired vintage stock each week during its limited operating hours Friday through Sunday. 

Third Man Records

Also featuring pristine-sounding show space The Blue Room, Jack White’s Third Man Records is a color-coordinated record label and storefront that caters primarily to rock ’n’ roll aficionados, audiophiles and collectors.
