The Arcade
Built in 1902, this architectural landmark spans two city blocks and has been thoughtfully updated. Artists’ studios line the periphery of the upper floors, while the ground-level storefronts feature a range of contemporary tenants.
Carl Van Vechten Gallery at Fisk University
This gallery on Fisk University’s campus is often curated with art by a mix of historic artists of the 20th century, like Aaron Douglas and Greg Ridley, and contemporary ones from around North Nashville. The exhibitions reflect the tremendous range of Fisk’s impact.
David Lusk Gallery
David Lusk Gallery is the best Wedgewood-Houston spot for serious art collectors and connoisseurs, with a selection of works from the region’s biggest talents — from William Eggleston to Red Grooms.
Elephant Gallery

Hatch Show Print
Hatch is the legendary letterpress print shop that helped create Nashville’s first signature style — woodblock prints of country music acts. A must-see spot for lovers of history, country music, printmaking and art.*

Tinney Contemporary
In 2026, Tinney Contemporary celebrates its 20th year in its downtown building. The contemporary gallery hosts rotating exhibitions of established and emerging artists from all over, including Nashville-based artists Wendy Walker Silverman, Marilyn Murphy and James Perrin.
