Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville (CAAN)'s “the Moon Festival Celebration” presents 15 varieties of “Dim-Sum” including traditional Moon Cakes. The Celebration event is on October 8, Sunday at 5:30 pm. Dim Sum served at 6 - 8 PM at Lucky Bamboo China Bistro (5855 Charlotte Pike, Nashville). The Chinese Moon Festival is one of three most celebrated festivals by Chinese people (the other two are Chinese New Year and Dragon Boat Festival). Also called Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival and celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month according to the Chinese Lunar calendar.
點心, pronounced as “Dim-Sum” in Cantonese Chinese, is prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Literally 點 “Dim” means touch, and 心 “Sum” means heart. “Dim-Sum” is so delicious; it truly touches your heart!
