Car Seat Headrest w/Naked Giants

In the nine years since Car Seat Headrest first began issuing music on Bandcamp at a Bob Pollard-like clip, main man Will Toledo has evolved from ambitious-but-introverted home recordist to conductor of a many-tentacled indie-rock juggernaut capable of making audiences shake and headbang in equal measure. Toledo & Co. graced Nashville with a cathartic and unexpectedly funky set in August at the Live on the Green concert series. They return this week on the heels of releasing Commit Yourself Completely, a live LP featuring choice performances of “Fill in the Blank,” “Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales” and other fan favorites from their still-young career. The nine-song collection shows that the 26-year-old Toledo’s closest Clinton-era reference point is no longer the aforementioned Pollard but rather indie-rock jam-band leader Doug Martsch of Built to Spill — the album’s shortest track clocks in at 5:06. Seattle garage punks Naked Giants support. 9 p.m. at Cannery Ballroom, 1 Cannery Row CHARLIE ZAILLIAN
