Like any number of nondescript Strokes acolytes who have popped up this century, Oklahoma indie-rock act Broncho issued its share of good-but-not-great songs over the past decade or so, bouncing from shoegaze-y sonics to pop punk and back again. But this year’s Bad Behavior is the band’s strongest and most interesting effort yet, full of bopping, Cars-esque power pop like “Keep It in Line” and vaguely Police-influenced New Wave fare like “Weekend.” With tight, urgent instrumentation backing frontman Ryan Lindsey’s insouciant, half-mumbled vocals, Broncho seems to be on to something with Bad Behavior — it’s catchy stuff, and it’ll make for a good live show. Youngster L.A. rock ’n’ rollers Liily and pop singer Valen will open. D. PATRICK RODGERS
