What do you think kangaroo fur feels like? Before I hit up good ol’ Kangaroo Kickabout, I guessed bristly dog fur, but no — kangaroos have soft fur, and even softer temperaments, which makes them perfect petting partners for kids. The Nashville Zoo lets kids get up-close with all kinds of animals — camels, goats, alpacas, parrots and tortoises — which means you get a full afternoon of entertainment and a prime backdrop for this year’s Christmas card pic.
